Mascagni and his orchestra in Buenos Aires (1911) (1 of 2)

Mascagni and his orchestra in Buenos Aires

This is an original photo of Mascagni and his orchestra in Buenos Aires in May or June 1911, in front of the Teatro Colón. Mascagni is on the left hand side, holding his hat in his hand. The first violin, Gualtiero Pasini, can be identified on the left holding his violin case. It should be possible to identify the two women at the center. They could possibly be Maria Farneti and Maria Poggi, both members of the South American tour. Mascagni toured South America from May to October 1911, and again from May to December 1921.
